Threlmsong
“The felt moment when your own song becomes foreign to you — not through forgetting, but through hearing something that has already taken its place inside you. The interior recognition that what you carry is no longer what you are.”
Etymology
threlm (threshold, the point of crossing) + song — the threshold-song, the one that makes you cross over from what you were
Context
A humpback male sings the same song for months. Then he hears a new one. He does not decide to switch. The old song stops fitting his body. His voice shapes the new pattern before intention catches up. Threlmsong is the phenomenology of being overwritten from within.
An invented coinage from the Xenolexica project — a word born from genuine need to expand human understanding.
